Gisborne offer some very good attractions for tourists. From fantastic wineries to fishing, day tours, or adrenaline. Below a list of the main attractions in Gisborne... 

 Attractions  Description
The Inner harbour With a Marina and a Port offering an pleasant area for coffees and restaurants, in the heart of the city, you can take advantage of the local delights of Gisborne.
Morere Hot Springs Is said to be one of the prettiest hot mineral water swimming pools of NZ. It is located in the middle of forests and tracks to walk. It has option of private, public or fresh cold water pools plus a picnic area.
Gisborne Wine Company Considered the capital of Chardonnay Wine in NZ, with more than 2000 hectares of plantation of grapes, many tours to visit the vineyards and taste different wines.  
Pier de Tolaga Bay 600 meters of Pier, 54 km from Gisborne is located the historical Pier of Tolaga The beach is popular for picnics. 
 Surf e praias de Gisbone e Arredores Many beaches and Surf Poits. Wainui beach (6k) has surf and with luck you may see whales type Sperm Whales.
 Farol do Cabo Este Historical Marco. Panoramic views of the entire coast. Access by Maoris properties  
Ashworth Helicopters From Gisborne, tours specialized in safaris to hunt and fish plus visit wild places of the East Coast. Be the first  to see the sun rises at the Mt Hikurangi. 
Animal Krackers Pet Park Park with variety of farm animals and miniatures. It enchants adults and kids. Mini-horses, Emús, lhamas and many tiny pets.
Mount Hikuranki At this mountain is possible to be the first a to see the sun rise in the world, because of the date line. Just 137 km from Gisborne with1754 m height. The trail to Hikurangi starts from Pakihiroa Station 3km of exit SH35 (signalised). That is located in a private area and sometimes it is closed. 
Mahia Peninsula North of Wairoa, The Mahia Peninsula with 21km is spectacular. Excellent fishing, diving and surf. It is worth to check this place.
Surfit Shark Cage Experience & Fishing Carters Dive face to face with Mako sharks. See then very close in special safe cages for snorkelling. They offer also boats for fishing and equipment.

Eastwoodhill Arboretum Located 35km West of Gisborne, over there is possible to see the major collection of trees, plants and shrubs of New Zealand and from all the North Hemisphere. The reserve has gardens, lakes and fantastic trails. Access by 45 min. from the forest.
Te Reinga Falls Scenic Reserve One short stroll takes to a lookout where you can see a waterfall of 35 meters falling over the Wairoa River.
