Taupo

 Lake Taupo is in the heart of New Zealand North Island. The beauty of the lake is something that nobody forget. At the South of the lake, the Tongariro National Park is a natural playground, with sky fields and fantastic day tracks. There is plenty to do in Taupo and the main attractions are:

 Attractions  Description
Whakapapa & Turoa With 1800 hectares they are the biggest ski field in New Zealand and North Island. You can rent all necessary equipment up there as well as there are restaurants, cafes and the Happy Valley in Whakapapa, ideal for beginners. For veterans, there are more than 30 options of sky tracks.
Huka Falls Is the biggest and most spectacular waterfall of the Waikato river. Can be visiter for free. At the entrance of the town. 
The Huka Jet Get ready to ride the river up to the waterfall aboard of an ultra fast jet boat. 360 turns and plenty of emotions. Great fun you can't miss.
Taupo Hot Springs Public and private thermal pools where you can soak in while your barbecue is cooking at the picnic area. Massage is also offered in the place.
Taupo Bungy A 47 metres bungy jump over the Waikato River..
Lake Taupo It is the biggest lake in new Zealand which offers great activities such as boast tours, dinning and sunset tours, kayak tours, and Brown Trout fishing tours. 
Tongariro River Rafting The Tongariro River is great for river rafting with 3 waterfalls level 3 to be negociated.

Awakeri Hot Springs Relax and indulge yourself in these thermal pools. There are tracks, picnic area, and much more including accommodation.
Ohakune city Nice little town at the South side of Tangariro National Park is the gate to Turoa Ski field.
Whakapapa Centre Information about weather and road conditions, Also tour reservation, and video about volcanic activities in the region.
